Attorney Andrew J. Zulieve has joined the statewide law firm of Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson and will practice in the Commercial Law Department, focusing on all non-patent areas of intellectual property and on e-commerce law in the firm's Portland office.

Zulieve has 10 years in law, most recently at another Portland law firm and before that as a trademark examiner in the United States Trademark Office. He is a member of the Intellectual Property Division in both the American Bar Association and the Maine Bar Association, where he also is a member of the Corporate Law Division. Zulieve is a frequent lecturer on intellectual property and has published articles on copyright law and federal trademark registration.

A resident of Portland, Zulieve is on the board of directors for the Cleaves Law Library and the Arts Initiative, both in Portland. He is a 1978 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and received his J.D. from The Antioch Law School in Washington, D.C., in 1987.
