Attorney Jon A. Fitzgerald has joined the statewide law firm of Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson and will practice in the Municipal and Government Services Department. He will focus on representing the interests of clients in the Maine legislature and before state regulatory agencies.

Fitzgerald most recently served in the Bath office at another large Portland law firm, where he represented the state's largest private employer. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Maine Bar Association and the Maine Trial Lawyers Association. Fitzgerald also is active in federal, state, and municipal campaigns for public office.

A resident of Falmouth, Fitzgerald is a 1988 graduate of Boston University and received his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 1995. A Bath native, he graduated from Morse High School in 1984. He served as a Congressional Intern to Sen. George J. Mitchell in 1987.
