Attorney Matthew E. Lane has joined Preti Flaherty (www.preti.com) as an associate based in the New England law firm’s Portland, Maine offices.

Lane will practice in Preti Flaherty’s Sports & Entertainment Law and Litigation Groups.
Prior to joining the firm, he was a professional runner sponsored by Nike and a member of two U.S. national teams. As a collegiate, Lane was an 11-time NCAA Division I All-American and the 2001 U.S. Track Coaches Association Athlete of the Year.

Lane is a 2009 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Maine School of Law and a 2001 graduate of the College of William & Mary.

During law school, Lane served as the Executive Editor of the Maine Law Review. A resident of Yarmouth, Lane presently serves as Assistant Coach of the cross country team at Yarmouth High School and previously served as the school’s Head Coach for Indoor Track & Field.
