PORTLAND, Maine – The regional law firm of Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson has expanded its Commercial Department with the addition of attorneys Chava R. Kallberg and Todd D. Ross.

Kallberg will focus her practice on corporate and securities law at one of Northern New England’s largest firms with 81 attorneys in three locations.

She previously served as an associate handling bankruptcy and commercial law matters at Verrill & Dana in Portland.

A Portland resident, Kallberg received her law degree, cum laude, in 2002 from the University of Maine School of Law in Portland and her undergraduate degree in 1997 from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. A South Berwick, Maine native, she is a 1993 graduate of Berwick Academy.

Ross will focus his practice on a range of bankruptcy matters as a member of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Practice Group at Bernstein Shur.

He previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Lee M. Jackwig of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Iowa in Des Moines.

A Portland resident, Ross received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law in Portland and his undergraduate degree in 1997 from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
