Bernstein, Shur Lawyers to Discuss Business Strategies for Web-Based International Trade
(PORTLAND, Maine) - Two lawyers at Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson will share their knowledge of international web strategies at a Maine International Trade Day 2000 workshop that examines the practical business, web and legal strategies for manufacturers looking to the Internet to increase international sales.
The workshop is part of the 20th annual Maine International Trade Day on Thursday, May 4 at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland. Anthony Perkins, the senior technology, computer and e-commerce attorney at Bernstein, Shur, and Frederick L. Lipp, co-chair of the firm's recently expanded International Practice Group, will join David McClees, president of Talus Corp., for the 2 p.m. workshop session.
The workshop, called "E-Global Case Study: Practical Business, Web and Legal Strategies at Work," will analyze the advantages and disadvantages Ñ including relations with customers, governmental agencies, foreign distributors and suppliers Ñ for a traditional manufacturer introducing a website to increase international sales.
Maine International Trade Day is held each year by the Maine International Trade Center and includes exhibits, speakers, seminars and an evening program with Gov.
