Breakaway Adventures First U.S. Tour Operator to Offer Independent Walking Tour on Bermuda

Breakaway Adventures, a U.S.-based tour company that specializes in walking and cycling tours in Europe, has announced it will begin offering walking tours in Bermuda.

“We’re proud to be the first U.S. tour operator to offer an independent walking tour in Bermuda, an island renowned for its pink sands, fragrant flora and turquoise waters,” said Carol Keskitalo, co-owner of Breakaway Adventures, located in South Carolina.

Called a “pocket-sized paradise” due to its size, Keskitalo said Bermuda is also ideal for walking tours due to its lush interior alive with hundreds of birds and flowers, making it perfect to explore on foot.

“A traffic-free trail spans Bermuda’s 21-mile length; we've split the itinerary into six diverse sections to offer gentle walks exploring every corner”, Keskitalo added.

The 8-day, 7-night packages – which include full breakfast and evening meal and a stay at the 4-star Coco Reef Hotel – also features a 7-day pass allowing unlimited use of the islands' buses and ferries. Cost of the tour ranges from $2,983 to $3,529 per person, based on double occupancy, and also includes walking route notes and maps, transfers from/to Bermuda’s airport and walking briefing sessions with Breakaway’s on-site representative.
Bermuda is an archipelago of 180 islands and islets, the eight largest of which form the fishhook-shaped mainland. The oldest British colony, the island is accessible by air from many U.S. cities.
