Eric Schmidt Joins TD Bank as Regional Vice President in Commercial Lending for Florida’s Treasure Coast

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (June 22, 2011) – TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, has named Eric L. Schmidt the Regional Vice President in Commercial Lending for the Treasure Coast region of Florida. He will be located in Fort Pierce, Fla., and is responsible for managing commercial lending activities throughout Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties.

Schmidt has 13 years of experience in commercial banking and lending. Prior to joining TD Bank, he served as a Bank Examiner at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Sunrise, Fla., and before that as Commercial Team Lead for St. Lucie County at Seacoast National Bank in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Schmidt is a member of the Fort Pierce Sunrise Kiwanis Foundation.

A Port St. Lucie, Fla., resident and native, Schmidt serves on the board of the Florida Atlantic University Alumni Association. He is a 1997 graduate of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Prior to college, Schmidt served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He is a 1988 graduate of Fort Pierce Central High School.
