The Augusta office of Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson (BSSN) is hosting a free half-day seminar Oct. 18 with a panel of experts on "Commercial Financing" to assist central Maine businesses in evaluating their financing options. The program, which is one in a series of free seminars sponsored by the firm, will provide attendees with an overview of conventional bank borrowing as well as information on various government assisted loan programs.

Panelists will include attorneys Lester F. Wilkinson and Philip H. Gleason of Bernstein, Shur, as well as: Jeff Hubert of MacDonald, Page, Schatz & Fletcher; Sally Garand of Bangor Savings Bank; Jim Maxwell of Southern Maine Financial Resources; Michael Murphy of E-Pro Engineering & Environmental Consulting, LLC; Dave Markovchick of FAME; and Jane Kaelin of Eastern Maine Development Corporation. Designed for clients of the firm and other members of the local business community, the event is free and open to the public.
