GHS and Community Pharmacies Announce Changes to Management Structure in Response to Growth

Management team of Joseph Bruno, John Grotton and Jim Clair will be split

AUGUSTA, Maine – GHS Data Management and Community Pharmacies announced today that the management and administrative functions of the two companies will be separated to better accommodate each company’s growth and strategic planning goals.

A single management team has for years overseen the two companies, both part of The Waldron Group of Companies, headquartered in Falmouth. But continued growth, particularly in out-of-state work at GHS, necessitated a split, company officials said.

The key change will be the reassignment of the management team – Joseph Bruno, John Grotton and Jim Clair, whom together have played major roles in the success of the two entities. Each has been given a new role with a more individualized focus.

Joseph Bruno of Raymond will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer for Community Pharmacies and be responsible for the daily operation and future direction of the Maine-owned group of 14 pharmacies across the state.

“The growth of both companies prompted us to take a hard look at our management structure and how best to utilize our strengths and provide a more individualized focus,” Bruno said. “We view this as a really positive step for our employees and our customers as we look to the future.”

John Grotton of Scarborough will become Chief Executive Officer for GHS, where he will be responsible for the daily operation and future direction of the Augusta-based technology company. Jim Clair of China has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer for GHS.

“It’s an exciting time for both companies and I look forward to facing new challenges and opportunities,” Grotton said.
