Gerald Wright Joins TD Bank as Small Business Relationship Manager in Fairfield County, Conn.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (June 7, 2011) – TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, has named Gerald B. Wright as Vice President - Small Business Relationship Manager in Commercial Lending in Bridgeport, Conn. He is responsible for generating small business loans and leases up to $500,000 and cultivating small business relationships, including business loans and deposits, serving commercial customers throughout Fairfield County, including Bridgeport, Fairfield, Trumbull, Shelton, Stratford, Huntington and Monroe.

Wright has more than 40 years of banking experience in the Fairfield County region and is returning to his roots in small business lending. Prior to joining TD Bank, he served as a Financial Services Manager at People’s United Bank in Bridgeport for 10 years. Wright is a member of the Bridgeport Regional Business Counsel and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.

A Fairfield, Conn., resident, Wright volunteers as a mentor in the Bridgeport Magnet School and as an instructor with Junior Achievement. He is a graduate of Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio, and attended the National Commercial Lending School in Norman, Okla. A native of Fairfield County, Wright graduated from Bunnell High School in Stratford, Conn.
