FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (June 19, 2013) – Organizers of the upcoming Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50 - 5K & 10K at Patriot Place are preparing a three-day event July 1-3 that includes a fitness expo, food, live music and an extensive fireworks display.

Race organizers are encouraging runners and walkers to sign up as soon as possible at www.harvardpilgrimfinishatthe50.com. The family-fun event at Patriot Place in Foxborough, Mass., now in its fourth year, will once again feature free select pre-race meals to registered participants at Patriot Place at select restaurants.

Schultz, president and CEO of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.  “We encourage runners and walkers to test their mettle in these unique races and we invite everyone to come and learn more about fitness options.”

New this year are staggered starts for both races and the stadium ramps have been added to the last part of the 10K course. The entire 5K course is within the grounds of Patriot Place and 1.3 miles is run inside Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots.

Both races will continue with a thrilling finish, as participants running onto the Gillette Stadium field can watch themselves on the stadium’s giant HDTV screens as they run across the finish at the 50-yard line.
