Hugh Scott Joins TD Bank as Credit Specialist in East Rutherford, N.J.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (November 18, 2010) – TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, has named Hugh O. Scott a Credit Specialist in Commercial Lending in East Rutherford, N.J. He is responsible for analyzing and monitoring the credits of a portfolio of new and existing business clients throughout southern Bergen and Hudson counties.
Prior to joining TD Bank, Mr. Scott served for 14 years as an analyst with Moody’s Investors Service in New York City, where he analyzed, assigned bond ratings and monitored the credit quality of companies involved in the energy/oil and gas industry. Early in his career at Moody’s he also covered high-yield companies involved in mining and metals, and in waste management industries. Mr. Scott’s career also includes working as a corporate finance analyst at Barclays Bank PLC in New York City.

Mr. Scott has a strong interest in sustainability issues in New Jersey, serving as a volunteer member of the Sustainable Leadership Forum, a non-profit organization based in Basking Ridge, N.J. On behalf of the Center for Leadership in Sustainability, he recently authored a paper examining the potential for the sustainable development of Haiti's natural resources and power requirements, which was published on the Sustainable Haiti Coalition website.

A resident of New Milford, N.J., Mr. Scott received an MBA in finance from Pace University and an undergraduate degree in business administration from Fordham University, both located in New York.
