IntelliCare Named New England's 8th Fastest Growing Technology Company

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine - IntelliCare, Inc., a leading provider of medical contact center software and services, is the 8th fastest-growing technology company in New England, according to Deloitte & Touche's 2002 New England Technology Fast 50 list.

IntelliCare's high ranking on the prestigious list - based on five-year revenue growth of more than 3,700 percent ö quantifies the South Portland company's continued growth at a time when other technology-based companies are falling by the wayside.

"The credit for this important distinction really goes to our employees, who have enabled us to manage rapid growth and still maintain high quality with our products and services," said Victor C. Otley III, IntelliCare's chairman and CEO. "The vision that we started with in 1997 is now coming to fruition. We couldn't be more pleased."

The Fast 50 list is compiled annually by Deloitte & Touche LLP, a leading professional services firm, and Hale and Dorr LLP, a technology law firm. Rankings are compiled for technology companies in New England and across the country, based on the percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues during a five-year period from 1997-2001.

To qualify for the Fast 50 program, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1997 and $1 million in 2001. They also must own proprietary technology that generates a significant portion of the company's operating revenues.

IntelliCare, a privately held company, showed an increase in revenues of 3,705 percent from 1997 to 2001.

"To rank on the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50, companies must have phenomenal revenue growth over a five-year period," said Steve DiPietro, a partner at Deloitte & Touche. "IntelliCare has proven to be one of the fast-growth success stories in New England, and we applaud their success and vision."

IntelliCare's ranking in New England now qualifies the company for entry into the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America's top 500 fastest growing technology companies.

Founded in Portland, Maine in 1997, IntelliCare is a leading provider of medical contact center outsourced services and developer of application software used to enhance healthcare communications. The company, headquartered in South Portland, Maine, also owns and operates healthcare contact centers in Dallas; Woburn, Mass.; Bristol, Conn.; and South Portland.

IntelliCare operates the largest contact center network in the U.S., with hubs located across the country. Its software and outsource solutions are used by more than 250 hospitals, health systems, health plans, group practices and employers nationwide.
