Jacquelyn B. Cawley, D.O., has been named the Vice President of Population Health in the Medical Services Department at Martin’s Point Health Care in Portland.

An experienced family physician, teacher and clinical leader, Cawley will be responsible for developing an incentive program that will encourage use of best clinical practices among core network providers, as well as identifying approaches and requirements for improving population health. She also will serve as the Medical Director for the U.S. Family Health Plan at Martin’s Point. Cawley, too, is the president-elect of the medical staff at Maine Medical Center.

“Jackie possesses a rare combination of skills that make her ideally suited to lead Martin’s Point in these important areas,” said Dr. David Howes, M.D., President and Chief Medical Officer at Martin’s Point.

Cawley, who has 13 years of experience in health care, has previously served as the assistant chief of family medicine at Maine Medical Center and the medical director of the MMC Family Practice Centers. She is a member of AOA, AAFP, MOA and STFM.

A resident of Yarmouth, Cawley is a 1985 graduate of SUNY Buffalo and received her medical degree in 1989 from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She served an internship and family medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
