Jim Abbott Joins TD Insurance as a Business Development Officer in Methuen

METHUEN, Mass. (January 9, 2010) Jim Abbott has joined TD Insurance, Inc. in Methuen, Mass., as a Business Development Officer. He is responsible for developing business within the New England construction industry by providing insurance programs for commercial property & liability, bonding, employee benefits and self-insurance as well as commercial lending, cash and wealth management.
Prior to joining TD Insurance, Abbott served as Vice President of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Massachusetts in Burlington. He is a member of the New England Society of Association Executives and a founding member of the ABC Massachusetts Young Leaders Council.
A Reading, Mass., resident, Abbott serves as a volunteer hockey coach in his community. He is a former professional hockey player who was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Abbott is a 2003 graduate of the Whittemore School of Business & Economics at the University of New Hampshire in Durham. While at UNH, he played in two Frozen Four tournaments, won two Hockey East Championships at the TD Garden and was named to the Hockey East All-Academic team.
