Keith R. Taylor has joined Stratex, LLC, as a technical consultant. He will work in the Augusta office of the company, which is part of the statewide law firm of Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson.

Before joining Stratex, Taylor was a group manager at another Maine consulting firm. A Certified Geologist in Maine, he has 15 years of environmental consulting experience. A resident of Hallowell, Maine, Taylor received his B.S. in geology at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine in 1982 and an M.S. in geology from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque in 1986.

Until now, Stratex was based in Bernstein, Shur's main office in Portland. Taylor will be working in the Augusta office to allow more direct access to the state's regulatory offices, the legislature, and central and northern Maine clients. He will provide a wide range of strategic technical consulting services, including his expertise in environmental due diligence for real estate transactions, redevelopment of contaminated properties, regulatory compliance and permitting, waste management storage and disposal, and groundwater protection issues.

Established in 1998, Stratex is a strategic consulting firm that provides technical expertise and project development assistance for established and start-up companies, and for municipal clients. Stratex provides expert engineering and geologic evaluation for clients involved with energy development, sewer and water projects, solid waste management issues, groundwater supply development and protection, and coastal engineering projects. Stratex has a large role in the environmental aspects of the decommissioning of the Maine Yankee nuclear plant.
