Kenneth Stafford, Founder of StaffordAdvisors in Falmouth, Appointed to Intuit Accountant and Advisor Customer Council

Select panel advises financial software maker on products and services that accountants and their clients want most

FALMOUTH, Maine (November 14, 2012) – Kenneth Stafford, founder of StaffordAdvisors in Falmouth, Maine, has been named to Intuit Inc.’s (Nasdaq: INTU) Accountant and Advisor Customer Council. Intuit Inc., a leader in online solutions with 45 million customers using its connected services and 50+ mobile apps, develops software products and services to help accounting professionals and their clients work more efficiently.

Stafford is one of 15 council members nationwide who will share their insights, experience and expertise to help Intuit develop new products and services for accounting professionals and small business owners. He has more than 30 years experience as a practicing Certified Public Accountant.

The council meets periodically at Intuit’s Silicon Valley headquarters to get an inside look at the company’s strategy and developing products. Members participate for up to two years, sharing their thoughts on critical accountant and small business tools, such as new software offerings and Web-based services. 

Stafford is well-respected in Maine’s accounting and tax services industry. A former adjunct faculty member at the University of Southern Maine, he is a frequent lecturer for Maine Revenue Services, Lorman Education and the National Business Institute. Stafford also is often called on by Maine lawmakers to testify before the legislature as a tax expert.

After spending 10 years with national CPA firms, Stafford in 1989 founded StaffordAdvisors (www.staffordadvisors.com). Based in Falmouth, the firm provides accounting, taxation and small business consulting services, specializing in dental practices.

A Cumberland Foreside resident, Stafford holds a master’s in taxation from the University of Hartford and an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of South Florida. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and Series 66 securities licenses and a Maine insurance producers license.
