Larry Pelletier Joins Bigelow Investment Advisors

Longtime financial planner brings more than 20 years of experience in wealth management and investing to growing Portland firm

PORTLAND, Maine – Larry D. Pelletier, a certified financial planner with more than 20 years of experience in wealth management and investing, has joined Bigelow Investment Advisors, LLC, in Portland.
Pelletier, of Scarborough, will serve as a senior vice president at Bigelow Investment Advisors, an independent financial consulting firm that specializes in advising individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations.

Formerly a wealth advisor and senior vice president at TD Banknorth, Pelletier’s expertise includes assisting multigenerational asset transfers, financial planning for retirement and college savings, and investment recommendations for accomplishing client goals. At Bigelow, he will concentrate on advising individual, business, and non-profit clients throughout the region.

“Larry’s depth of understanding of financial matters and client’s needs is matched only by his impeccable reputation,” said Gary Robinson, CEO of Bigelow Investments. “We are very fortunate to have him as part of our team.”

Pelletier grew up in Lewiston, where he also previously managed a TD Banknorth Wealth Management office for several years, serving clients throughout central Maine. In addition, he held a similar post in Bangor, where he developed strong business ties in that community and throughout Aroostook County.

Pelletier received his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1987 from the College of Financial Planning in Denver. The CFP designation requires continuing education and credits in the study of investments, insurance, taxes, retirement planning, and estate planning. He also attended Gordon College from 1968 to 1972.

Pelletier has been involved as a volunteer or board member at the Good Shepherd Food Bank, Maine Music Society, United Way of Androscoggin Valley, United Way of Penobscot Valley, and the Rural Community Action Ministry (RCAM).

Located at 4 Moulton Street in Portland’s Old Port, Bigelow Investment Advisors specializes in advising clients with assets of $300,000 and more who need advice and implementation of a coordinated, independent financial strategy. The firm is not affiliated with any one financial institution so it has the flexibility to create investment plans solely in the best interest of its clients.
