Martin’s Point Health Care in Brunswick is celebrating Family Health Month with a week-long informational display at the organization’s Brunswick facility, located at the corner of Farley and Bath roads at Cook’s Corner. The public is welcome.

From Monday (Oct. 4) through Friday (Oct. 8), Martin’s Point in Brunswick will feature informational table displays, brochures and take-a-ways on a wide range of topics such as nutrition, exercise, stress, healthy heart, immunizations, household safety, and other topics. The facility is open between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

“We think it’s our responsibility to provide information about health and prevention, and to help the greater Brunswick community understand how important their family’s health really is,” said Kim Gardner, Brunswick Practice Manager.

Established in 1981, Martin’s Point is a not-for-profit health care provider with facilities in Portland, Brunswick and Windham, Maine, and in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and serves patients in the areas of family practice, internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, radiology, cardiology, and mammography, as well as other fields.

The Martin’s Point Health Education Center has a variety of related resource materials that includes publications and videos. The center offers information and classes that focus on a host of other topics, ranging from weight loss and smoking cessation to diabetes and disease management.
