Martin’s Point Health Care Symposium Brings Nationally Recognized Health Care Expert to Maine
Tuesday, Nov. 16 Event on Health Care Quality to Feature Dr. Joseph Newhouse of Harvard University
Martin’s Point Health Care will host a statewide symposium on health care quality designed for physicians, healthcare professionals, legislative leaders, hospital administrators and others on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at the Portland Marriott at Sable Oaks in South Portland.
Titled “Health Care Quality: Can the Quality Movement Cure the Health Care Crisis,” the evening event will feature the nationally recognized keynote speaker, Dr. Joseph P. Newhouse of Harvard University.

He is the author of “Pricing the Priceless: A Health Care Conundrum.” At Harvard University, he is professor of Health Policy and Management and also is Director of the Health Policy Research & Education Division in the Department of Health Policy and Management. Dr. Newhouse also is a member of the faculties of the John F. Kennedy School of Government, the Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health.
