Asher Kramer recently joined Martin's Point Health Care as the new chief financial officer. Kramer has more than 24 years in the field and most recently served as the chief financial officer and treasurer at Partners' Community Healthcare in Boston.

Kramer has also served as chief financial officer at Quincy Hospital in Quincy, Mass., and vice president of finance at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, Mass.

Kramer earned a master's in business administration in 1991 from Boston University Graduate School of Management and his undergraduate degree from Ramapo College in New Jersey. He has served on the board of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, including as president of the Massachusetts chapter in 1995-96. Kramer has also published an article in Healthcare Financial Management, "Using PCs for Effective Case Mix Based Budgeting."

Kramer is currently a resident of Needham, Mass., and will be relocating to Cape Elizabeth with his family in July.

Martin's Point Health Care, based in Portland at 331 Veranda St., also has clinics in Windham, Topsham, and Bath, and in Newington, N.H.
