Michael Mansouri of Radiant Images Joins Industry Leaders on Panel in 3D Symposium at Cine Gear Expo on June 3

LOS ANGELES (May 31, 2011) – Michael Mansouri of Radiant Images, a leading L.A.-based rental house and digital cinema innovator, will discuss 3D production on a panel with other industry leaders at a 3D Symposium at the Cine Gear Expo on Friday, June 3.

Radiant Images (www.radiantimages.com), formerly known at HD Camera Rentals, also will share expertise, custom rigs and the latest 2D and 3D cameras and gear in Exhibition Booth S249 on June 3-4 at Cine Gear at The Studios at Paramount in Hollywood. The Radiant Images booth will be staffed from 4-10 p.m. on Fri., June 3, and from 10-5 p.m. on Sat., June 4.

The Cine Gear Expo, an annual four-day conference, is the premier film, video, and digital media expo for the entertainment industry, attracting the most dedicated specialists from every major department of the entertainment production and post production world.

Michael Mansouri, co-founder of Radiant Images, will participate as panelist in 3D Symposium at Cine Gear Expo in Hollywood. Mansouri, the co-founder of Radiant Images, is a professional cinematographer, DIT and camera operator who is among the industry's most knowledgeable, inventive and proficient experts in HD and 3D digital technology. He and his team at Radiant Images are known to stretch the boundaries of digital cinema with creative solutions – specializing in designing and building custom 2D and 3D rigs.

Mansouri will participate in the Production Panel as part of Cine Gear’s 3D Symposium, titled Exploring the Changing Business and Innovative Technology in 3D. The panel will discuss the latest technological advances, including cutting edge options for 3D rigs, formats, side by side or convergence styles, and more. The 3D Symposium will take place in the Sherry Lansing Theater beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 3.

Other panelists joining Mansouri include Stereographer Paul Taylor, Steve Schklair, founder of 3ality Digital, Kurt Galvao of Warner Bros., Director Sebastian Cramer and Cinematographer Geoff Boyle.

Cine Gear Expo 2011 on June 2-5 in Hollywood. Later on Friday, Mansouri and Radiant Images techs will be on hand in Booth S249 (ocated in Stage 18, Indoor Exhibits) to demonstrate and showcase the latest advances in digital technology.

Digital cameras will include the new CP31, a fully integrated stereo 3D camcorder by 3D ONE, plus the RED Epic-M, ARRI Alexa, SI-2K and IndieCam POV 3D. Also, attendees can get a closer look at the Atom 3D rig, P+S Technik Freestyle 3D rig, and a range of custom handheld rigs.

In addition, the Radiant Images booth will include a pair of AirWorks RC mini helicopters, rigged for mobile 3D shooting using two SI-2K cameras, as well as a Technocrane, recently added to the Radiant Images inventory.

Also, the company will hand out its first-ever Camera Comparison Chart for spring/summer 2011. The handy, pocket-sized reference guide compares key specs of each of the top digital cameras on the market, all in an easy-to-follow design.
