Peoples Expands in Presque Isle

Peoples Heritage Bank has opened a new branch in Presque Isle and is holding a grand opening celebration throughout the week to mark the occasion.

The new, larger branch is located at 680 Main St. and is 5,400 square feet in size with five teller windows and two drive-thru lanes. The facility also has a 24-hour, drive up ATM.

The branch will now offer a number of new services in the areas of personal banking, small business and commercial lending. The former branch was located at 551 Main Street.

“This expansion in Presque Isle signifies our commitment to our customers in the region as well as our confidence in the growing economy of the area,” said Mike McNamara, president and CEO of Peoples Heritage Bank.

Michael H. Kelley, Jr. will continue to serve as the manager of business development and sales. The facility also has a staff of 10.

Hours of the new branch: Lobby – Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Drive-up – Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The new branch was designed by North Peak Architecture and built by A & L Construction, Inc. Both firms are located in Presque Isle.
