PORTLAND, Maine - Ponee A. Roberts, CPA, has joined Stafford Financial Services as the Director of Tax Services. She will oversee and manage tax planning and compliance services for the Portland-based firm.

Roberts, a tax specialist with more than eight years of public accounting experience, most recently served as a tax manager at Baker Newman & Noyes in Portland. She also has served as an associate at Coopers & Lybrand in Boston.

Roberts specializes in partnership, corporate and individual taxation issues and compliance, with particular expertise in helping small business owners develop and implement tax planning, tax compliance and cash asset controls. She is a member of the Maine Society of CPAs.

A Gorham resident, Roberts serves as a committee member of the Women's Leadership Luncheon for the Frannie Peabody Center. She also co-chaired the Women's Leadership Luncheon event in 2002. She is a 1993 graduate of Northeastern University in Boston.
