Preti Flaherty's David Van Slyke Elected to American College of Environmental Lawyers
Preti Flaherty attorney David B. Van Slyke has been nominated as a fellow in the American College of Environmental Lawyers (ACOEL), the firm announced.
Van Slyke, a Partner and Chair of Preti Flahertys Environmental Law Practice Group, was inducted on September 25, 2008 at the Colleges annual meeting in San Francisco.
Van Slyke is a nationally recognized environmental lawyer, joining the firm in 1991 after a distinguished career with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Washington, D.C.
Membership in the American College of Environmental Lawyers is by invitation only and members are recognized by their peers as preeminent in their field. According to ACOEL, members are dedicated to maintaining and improving the ethical practice of environmental law, the administration of justice, and the development of environmental law at both the state and federal level.
Van Slyke directs all aspects of the firms environmental practice, including permitting, compliance counseling, defense of enforcement actions, due diligence in business and lending transactions and environmental risk management. He resides in Yarmouth, Maine.
