PORTLAND, Maine – Preti Flaherty attorney Sigmund D. Schutz has been named a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers, the firm announced today. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only and is based upon effectiveness and accomplishment, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation.
Schutz is a Partner with Preti Flaherty (www.preti.com) and practices environmental law and complex litigation with a focus on environmental litigation and toxic torts, environmental transactions and brownfields, environmental enforcement by state and federal regulators, land use, construction, and complex business disputes. He blends jury trial and appellate experience with substantive environmental expertise, and also concentrates his practice in media law.
