Martin’s Point Health Care in May will offer blood pressure screenings and a program for persons who want to learn more about managing their blood pressure.

Blood Pressure Program

“Managing Your High Blood Pressure” is geared toward people who want to learn how to monitor their blood pressure at home. Each participant will receive their own digital monitor as well as self-management strategies for diet, stress management and exercise. The cost of the program, which is open to the public, is $50. It will be offered at Martin’s Point facilities in Portland on April 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; in Brunswick on May 5, from 2 to 4 p.m.; in Windham on May 5, from 6 to 8 p.m.; and in Portsmouth, N.H. on June 9, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Blood Pressure Screenings

Martin’s Point also offers free blood pressure screenings at its Health Education Center located at 331 Veranda Street in Portland. The next clinics will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on May 10 and June 14.
