Robert Barr Joins TD Bank as Vice President in SBA Lending for the Metro DC – Northern Virginia Region

VIENNA, Va. (September 12, 2011) – TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, has named Robert L. Barr as Vice President, Small Business Development Officer in SBA Lending for the Metro DC and Northern Virginia regions. Based in Vienna, Va., he is responsible for expanding TD Bank’s SBA loan production by originating business owner-occupied SBA 504 and 7(a) commercial real estate loan and SBA 7(a) franchise leasehold and purchase transaction across the region.

Barr has 12 years of experience in banking, lending and commercial real estate. Prior to joining TD Bank, he served as an SBA Loan Officer at Chesapeake Business Finance in Washington D.C., and a Vice President SBA Lending at Wells Fargo in Chicago. Barr is a member of the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants (GWSCPA).

A resident of Vienna, Va., Barr is a 1997 graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He is a La Plata, Md., native, where he graduated in 1990 from La Plata High School.
