Stephen J. Finberg has been appointed Vice President of Emerging Businesses at Nelson & Small, Inc., a leading Northeastern U.S. distributor of consumer and commercial appliances and heating/water heating systems, Company President Kenneth M. Nelson announced.

A Portland resident, Finberg is a graduate of the Wharton School of Finance of the University of Pennsylvania. Previously, he served as a Vice President of the Foreside Company, and CEO of Angela Adams. He started his career more than 20 years ago with the Maine Hardware chain, a company that, along with Johnson Supply, was founded by his grandfather. Finberg held high-level positions in California before returning to Maine a few years ago.

“Steve Finberg is a seasoned business leader who brings great financial, marketing, and organizational success to the job,” Nelson said. “We’re enthusiastic about his becoming a key member of our Company.”

Finberg’s assignment makes him responsible for the performance of Nelson & Small, Inc. affiliate business ventures.
