TD Bank Commercial Relationship Manager Rich Powers Returns to Ocala Market

OCALA, Fla. (November 15, 2012) – Rich Powers, a Commercial Relationship Manager in Commercial Lending at TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, has relocated from Tampa to Ocala, Fla., to serve clients throughout Marion and Citrus counties.

Powers, who has 29 years of experience in banking and lending, is responsible for building and managing a portfolio of commercial and commercial real estate loans as well as administrative lending matters, credit administration and risk management, provided to business clients across the region.

Powers is returning to the market, where he previously spent 12 years in senior banking positions as the Area President for SouthTrust Bank and as Head of Commercial Banking for Barnett Bank. While in Ocala, he served on the boards of the Salvation Army, the YMCA and Children’s Home Society of Florida, and as a committee member at the Ocala/Marion County Economic Development Corporation.

“It’s been gratifying to come home and begin to re-establish myself to the area,” Powers said. “In my role at TD Bank, I look forward to serving the commercial lending needs of the companies and organizations in the region. If you want to truly appreciate this area, just leave it for a few years.”

Powers joined TD Bank in 2011 as a commercial lender in Tampa. His career also has included serving as Community Bank President at HomeBanc, N.A., and Corporate Banking Team Leader at Fifth Third Bank, both in Sarasota, Fla. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.

Powers and his wife Stacey will be moving back to the area from Land O Lakes, where they now reside.
