TD Bank Names Allan Birkett Small Business Relationship Manager for Capital District Region of N.Y.

LATHAM, N.Y. (August 23, 2011) – TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, has named Allan O. Birkett as Small Business Relationship Manager in Small Business Lending in Latham, N.Y. A vice president, he is responsible for generating small business loans up to $500,000 and cultivating small business relationships, including business loans, commercial loans and real estate, serving customers in the Capital District from Saratoga County to Hudson.

Birkett has 32 years of experience in banking and commercial lending. Prior to joining TD Bank, he served in Commercial Lending with Capital Bank for six years, and prior to that, in various positions with J.P. Morgan Chase, both in the Capital District. Birkett is a member of the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce.

A Colonie, N.Y., resident, Birkett volunteers as Co-chair of the Satins, Silk and Stars fundraiser for Special Olympics New York. He is a graduate of Schenectady County Community College and Oneonta (N.Y.) Senior High School.
