TD Bank Names Marilyn Lopez a Community Development Loan Officer for South Florida

FORT LAUDERDALE (July 5, 2010) – TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, has named Marilyn O. Lopez a Community Development Loan Officer for south Florida. Based in Fort Lauderdale, she will be responsible for working with first-time homebuyers to provide down payment and closing costs assistance, and partnering with local not-for-profits to teach homebuyer education to customers in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Lopez has more than 20 years of experience in affordable housing, serving as a Residential Loan Officer, CRA Affordable Lending Manager, Housing Authority Program Supervisor and Community Development Manager throughout the region. Prior to joining TD Bank, she served as a Vice President/Community Development Manager at Colonial Bank, N.A in south Florida. Lopez is a member of the Florida Association of Mortgage Professionals.

A Fort Lauderdale resident, Lopez is presently enrolled in the Business Management program at Broward Community College. Born in Cuba, she is bilingual in Spanish and English and is learning French Creole. Lopez is a 1976 graduate of Miami Springs Senior High School in Fort Lauderdale.
