TD Bank Names Robert Babcock as Market President in Central and Western Massachusetts

TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, provides customers with a full range of financial products and services at 1,300 convenient locations from Maine to Florida

WORCESTER, Mass. (October 5, 2010) – TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, has named Robert Babcock as Market President for central and western Massachusetts. He will be responsible for managing TD Bank's retail, commercial, and small business banking and lending teams as they continue to build upon TD Bank's presence in the state.

"As a veteran banker and a longtime resident of the Worcester area, we're delighted to promote Rob to this leadership position in our central and western markets," said Mark Crandall, TD Bank's Regional President for Massachusetts and Rhode Island. "We're confident that Rob's passion and dedication will bring him great success in this new role."

A seasoned executive, Babcock has more than 25 years of experience in commercial banking in Massachusetts. He joined TD Bank in 2001 and has served in a variety of commercial lending leadership roles, including his most recent position as Regional Vice President for central Massachusetts.

"I'm thrilled to be taking the next step in leading TD Bank's amazing team of professionals in central and western Massachusetts," Babcock said. "I look forward to continuing to build on our strong partnerships across all business lines in this important market."

Babcock lives in Northborough, Mass., with his wife and five children. He is an active member of his community, serving as a board member for The Barton Center for Diabetes Education, Inc., and the Mohegan Council, Boy Scouts of America. Babcock also has volunteered for many years fundraising for a local group that supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He is a graduate of Nichols College in Dudley, Mass.
