TD Bank Names Terry Kenny as Market President in Washington, D.C., Region

TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, provides customers with a full range of financial products and services at more than 1,000 convenient locations from Maine to Florida

CALVERTON, Md. (May 19, 2010) – TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, has named Terrence S. Kenny as Market President for the Metro Washington, D.C. Region. In his role, Kenny will be responsible for managing TD Bank's commercial banking and lending teams in the greater Washington area, and for continuing to build out the bank's footprint in Maryland, Virginia and D.C.

A seasoned executive, Kenny brings 30 years of commercial banking experience to his new position, having spent the last 23 years with SunTrust Bank in the greater Washington area. While at SunTrust, he served in various capacities, most recently as the Commercial Team Leader of the Greater Washington Region Diversified Group. He also served as a Professional Practice Group Team Leader, a Middle Market Group Manager, and a Credit Officer in his time at SunTrust. Kenny began his banking career at Maryland National Bank, where he spent five years in the commercial banking department.

Kenny received his bachelor’s degree from Frostburg State University in Maryland and graduated from American University in Washington, D.C., with his master's of science in finance.

A native of Silver Spring, Maryland, Kenny currently resides in Gaithersburg, Maryland, where he is an active member of the local community. He serves on the Greater Washington Board of Trade and as a board member of the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce. He also volunteers his time with the Montgomery Village Foundation, Gonzaga Father's Club of Gonzaga College High School, and the Jesuit Lacrosse Classic.
