TD Banknorth Promotes Marge Barker, David Madden, Terri Cannan and Ellen Dupuis to Senior Vice President

Four employees of TD Banknorth Inc. were recently promoted to senior vice president - Marge A. Barker, David M. Madden, Terri M. Cannan, and Ellen L. Dupuis, who serves with TD Banknoth Insurance Agency, Inc.

Marge A. Barker is in the Government Banking Division at TD Banknorth Inc. in Portland. She will serve as the division’s regional manager in Maine and New Hampshire with duties that include overseeing staff in both states and developing new account relationships throughout New England with municipal governments, education and utility sectors.
Barker joined TD Banknorth in 1988 and has more than 40 years of banking experience. Her banking career includes serving as an operations manager in the mortgage area, an asset management officer, a mortgage processor and an administrative assistant in the commercial loan area. Barker is a member of New England Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the Maine GFOA.

A Portland resident, Barker is active in the South Portland/Cape Elizabeth Rotary. She is presently attending Andover College working toward an accounting degree.

David M. Madden is the Product Solutions Department at TD Banknorth Inc. in Falmouth. He will continue to be responsible for product solutions and client services in the banking company’s Cash Management Division.
Madden joined TD Banknorth in 2005 and has 20 years of banking experience. Before joining TD Banknorth, he held similar management positions at three other major banking companies, Bank of America, First Union and BB&T.

A Scarborough resident, Madden and his family re-located from North Carolina. He is a 1986 graduate of Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. He is a native of Lakeville, Connecticut.

Terri M. Cannan is in the Marketing Department at TD Banknorth Inc. in Falmouth. She will continue to serve as group manager of the banking company’s marketing communications team.

A Kennebunk resident, Cannan joined TD Banknorth in 2005. She received an MBA from the University of Southern Maine in 1999 and a bachelor’s degree from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts. A native of Southwest Harbor, Cannan is a 1987 graduate of Mount Desert Island High School.

Ellen L. Dupuis is in the Personal Insurance Division at TD Banknorth Insurance Agency, Inc. in South Portland. As a product line/profit center manager, she will continue to be responsible for sales and service to clients throughout Northern New England.
Dupuis joined TD Banknorth in 1977 and has almost 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. She has served in a variety of management, supervisory, sales and customer service positions. Dupuis has earned designation as an AAI (Accredited Advisor in Insurance).

A Saco resident, Dupuis is a 1975 graduate of Thornton Academy.
