PORTLAND (July 7, 2003) ö The Board of Trustees for Youth Alternatives recently appointed the following members:

Angus King III of Portland Maine. A Development Associate with the Wishcamper Group, Mr. King brings business and public policy expertise to the Board.

Catherine Swift of Portland, Maine. A business leader and President/Principal with Swift & Associates, Ms. Swift is a seasoned, national executive recruiter.

Frederick Proctor of Falmouth Maine. A Senior Lending and Loan Officer with Peoples Heritage Bank, Mr. Proctor was re-appointed to the Board after a two-year hiatus.

YA President Michael J. Tarpinian said, "Youth Alternatives is grateful for their generous gifts of volunteer time and expertise to this agency. Their work makes a difference in the lives of children and families across Maine who are served by YA."

Youth Alternatives is a nationally accredited provider of services to children, youth and families.
