TD Bank Names Ross Sloan Regional Vice President for Western North Carolina

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (February 24, 2012) – TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, has promoted S. Ross Sloan to Regional Vice President for Western North Carolina. Based in Asheville, N.C., he is responsible for overseeing commercial banking and related products and services for a 10-county region served by TD Bank.

Sloan’s 26-year banking career includes a wealth of experience in business and commercial banking and in bank management. He joined Carolina First in 2000, serving as both a Commercial Banking Manager and Market President for Western North Carolina prior to the bank’s merger with TD Bank in 2010. Sloan most recently has served as TD Bank’s Regional VP for the smaller Southern Mountains region.

His career also has included stints at First Citizens Bank in Asheville (Business Banking Manager and Commercial Banking Manager) and Hendersonville (Area Executive), and at First Union National Bank, where his positions included Branch Manager in Hendersonville, N.C., Consumer Banking Manager for several Western North Carolina counties and Commercial Banker in Asheville.

Sloan lives in Flat Rock, N.C. He has recently served on the boards of the United Way of Henderson County (Vice Chair), the Pardee Hospital Foundation and the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce, and has been a member of the Hendersonville Rotary Club.

Sloan continues to serve as a member of the nominating committee of the Daniel Boone Council of Boy Scouts, and the Stewardship Committee of Grace Lutheran Church in Hendersonville. He is a 1986 graduate of Davidson College in Davidson, N.C.
