Charlotte Lehmann has joined Dragon Cement and Concrete, Maine's largest concrete supplier and New England's only cement manufacturer, as plant chemist at its Thomaston plant.

Lehmann, who has eight years experience as a lab manager and geochemist and 18 years as a geologist, will serve as plant chemist and laboratory manager in the Quality Control Laboratory. She is a member of the Association of Women Geoscientists.

An Orono resident, Lehmann received a master's degree in 1991 from the University of Maine in Orono and an undergraduate degree in 1983 from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass.

Dragon Cement and Concrete, founded in 1928, is Maine's largest concrete supplier and New England's only cement manufacturer. Headquartered at 38 Preble St. in Portland, Dragon employs more than 230 people in Maine and has more than 10 concrete plants located throughout the state, including in Biddeford, Portland, Brunswick, Lewiston, Augusta, Fairfield, Canton, Farmington, Madawaska and Presque Isle.
