John Johnstone, DO, has joined Martin's Point Health Care in Brunswick. He is a family practice physician with experience in occupational medicine and urgent care.

"I remember going to the hospital as a child while my mother practiced as a nurse and meeting the doctors and nurses and seeing firsthand the important role they played in the lives of their patients," Dr. Johnstone said. "I believe in listening to what the patient has to say - they know themselves better than anyone else."

A native of Texas and a resident of Harpswell, Dr. Johnstone is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and earned his medical degree from North Texas Health Science Center/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. Dr. Johnstone completed his family practice residency from Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
