Matthew Belcher, M.D., has joined Martin's Point Health Care in Portland as a family medicine physician with a special interest in sports medicine and complementary medicine.

"Medicine allows me to have a unique and exciting opportunity to assist people in achieving better health," Dr. Belcher said.

A Falmouth resident, Dr. Belcher is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. A native of Connecticut, he received his undergraduate degree in developmental biology and genetics from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and earned his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Conn. Dr. Belcher completed his family practice residency and internship at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. He has traveled extensively to practice medicine as a volunteer healthcare provider for Doctors for Global Health.
