Martin's Point Health Care offers a weekly smoking cessation support group that is open to the public and free of charge. The group meetings are held at the Martin's Point Health Care centers in Portland and Windham.

Participants do not need to be a Martin's Point patient to take advantage of the program, which provides information and support for individuals either trying to quit or interested in learning about quitting. Topics covered include nicotine patches and other methods, dealing with weight gain, health risks and emotional and psychological concerns.

Registration is not required. The sessions are held on Mondays at 5 p.m. in Portland at the Health Education Center at Martin's Point, 331 Veranda Street; and on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at the Martin's Point Health Care center at 739 Roosevelt Trail in Windham.
