Friday Press Conference for Peoples Beach to Beacon 10K

WHAT: Press Conference with Elite Athletes and Officials from the Race and Peoples Heritage Bank

WHEN: 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 2

WHERE: Inn by the Sea, Route 77, Cape Elizabeth, under the tent on side lawn

WHO: Speakers will include:
- Race President Dave Weatherbie
- Race Director Dave McGillivray
- Peoples Heritage Bank President Mike McNamara
- Elite Athlete Director Larry Barthlow
- Race Founder and running legend Joan Benoit Samuelson

Also, elite runners from around the world, many with their host families, will be introduced and available for interviews.

OPEN to all media (race credentials not necessary); refreshments will be served

OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Finish Line meeting with camera people and photographers who plan to cover the finish at noon Friday, after the press conference, at the Finish Line area in the chute near the Portland Head lighthouse, Fort Williams.

Reminder to media credentialed for the media truck to meet at the Cape Elizabeth High School parking lot at 6:30 a.m. to board the media truck at 6:45 for a ride to the start at 7.

Race Day Media Opportunities for credentialed media: As last year, we will have will press availability Saturday morning with winners around 9 a.m. in the Media Tent after the race, instead of a formal press conference. This way, reporters can talk one on one with winners in each division. Wolfe PR staff also be on hand to assist media.
