She is a former attorney with the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights, and a former New Hampshire special education hearing officer and certified mediator.

Kincaid is a national lecturer, writer, and trainer of faculty, staff and administrators on disability laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). She is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association.
