Paul Shay Joins TD Bank as Head of North American Credit Card and Merchant Services Compliance

WILMINGTON, Del. (March 30, 2014) – TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, has named Paul Shay as Senior Vice President, Head of North American Credit Card and Merchant Services Compliance. Based in Wilmington, Del.,  he is responsible for managing regulatory compliance for the bank’s North American credit card and merchant services business.

Shay has 39 years of combined experience in banking and corporate compliance. Prior to joining TD Bank, he served as Vice President, Enterprise Compliance at Capital One and as Chief Compliance Officer at ING Direct, both in Wilmington. Shay also served in similar roles at Sears, Roebuck and Co., HSBC and Citibank over his career. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Illinois Bar Association.

A Philadelphia resident, Shay serves as secretary and director with Friends of Matthias Baldwin Park and on the Old Saint Joseph’s Parish Finance Council. He received a law degree in 1979 from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, and an undergraduate degree in 1976 from the University of Notre Dame.
