Peoples Heritage to Donate Retail Space in Houlton

Interested nonprofits can apply for the property by writing to the bank headquarters in Portland by Oct. 1

HOULTON -- Peoples Heritage Bank will donate a commercial property in Houlton to a non-profit organization who can benefit from the retail space. Vacant at present, the facility spans 2,496 square feet and is located at 2 North Street next to the Peoples Heritage branch at 6 North Street.

Non-profit organizations registered as a 501 (c)(3) interested in the space may write to request an application by Oct. 1 to:

"We thought it would be a unique way to help an organization who could better utilize and benefit from the space," said Meg Dempsey, vice president and director of public affairs for Peoples Heritage Bank. "It's another way to give back to the community."
