Twelve Attorneys from Bernstein Shur Recognized by Prestigious Chambers USA Guide

Firm also recognized in all five practice areas in respected national guide

Twelve attorneys from Bernstein Shur have been selected by a team of independent legal researchers for inclusion in the 2006 edition of Chambers USA, a prestigious directory of leading attorneys for business in the United States.

Bernstein Shur also was recognized as a leading U.S. law firm with top rankings in each of the five practice areas cited in the directory, published by London-based Chambers and Partners, one of the world’s most respected legal research firms.

The recognition is significant as it is a result of independent research and interviews with clients and peers to impartially gauge performance and rank top attorneys and firms throughout the United States.

The number of Bernstein Shur attorneys cited in the 2006 guide marks a 50 percent increase from last year.

Those selected to be included in the guide for Maine are: Robert J. Keach of Falmouth for Corporate/M&A: Bankruptcy; Eric F. Saunders of Cumberland for Corporate/M&A; Linda D. McGill of Freeport for Employment; Jeffrey A. Thaler of Yarmouth for Environmental and General Commercial Litigation; Peter J. Attorneys listed for the first time this year include: John Carpenter of North Yarmouth for Corporate/M&A; Michael Fagone of Saco for Corporate/M&A: Bankruptcy; Wayne Tumlin of Cumberland for Corporate/M&A; and Andru Volinsky of Concord, N.H., for General Commercial Litigation.

Bernstein Shur received top rankings in each of the five rating categories included in the Chambers USA guide. The firm’s Real Estate Practice Group received the highest ranking in the state.
