TD Bank Names Terrance McCarty Director of Credit Management for Healthcare Banking Group

MERCERVILLE, N.J. (February 19, 2013) – TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, has promoted Terrance J. McCarty to Senior Vice President, Director of Credit Management for its Healthcare Banking Group.

In this newly created leadership role, McCarty will be responsible for managing the credit underwriting and credit administration functions for the bank’s growing Healthcare Banking group, which delivers customized solutions to healthcare organizations from Maine to Florida.

Based in Mercerville, N.J., McCarty has 25 years of experience in the healthcare lending industry and is regarded as a leading expert in healthcare finance. He joined TD Bank in 1999 as a Senior Lender and most recently served as a Division Head for the bank’s N.J. Healthcare Unit. Prior to joining TD Bank, McCarty served as Senior Lender for Summit Bank’s N.J. Healthcare Financial Services Group in Princeton.  

McCarty is active in his community and presently sits on various Boards and fundraising committees including, but not limited to, the Central New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts of America (President), Meridian Health System (Co-Chair of the Sports Classic), South Jersey Health System (Chair of the Golf Classic), Springpoint Senior Living (Co-Chair of the Golf Committee), and the Hamilton YMCA (Chair of the Field Improvement Committee). He is an Eagle Scout and Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow, the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America. He is also a member of the New Jersey Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

McCarty lives in Hamilton, N.J. with his wife Luann and their two children. He received an MBA in 1990 from Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J., and an undergraduate degree in 1983 from Trenton State College, now known as College of New Jersey. McCarty grew up in Hamilton and graduated from Hamilton High School East.
